About MisterLNT.ph
Personal advocacy is centered on promotion of outdoor ethics in the Philippines Conceptualized as a personal advocacy, MisterLNT.ph endeavors to promote responsible mountaineering in the Philippines through the Leave No Trace (LNT) principles, a set of guidelines aimed at minimizing impacts to the environment. It is principally dedicated towards promoting good manners and right conduct (GMRC) in the outdoors. Leave No Trace was developed by the Leave No Trace Center for Outdoor Ethics, a US-based non-government organization.
Fundamental to this worthy environment-centric endeavor is the dissemination and promotion of the Leave No Trace principles across the Philippines to create awareness and consciousness amongst Filipino outdoor enthusiasts. To re-do or re-create Leave No Trace is not part of the objective on account that it is already established. The driving force behind MisterLNT.ph is Lito De Veterbo, a Manila-based Filipino mountaineer and a US-trained Leave No Trace Master Educator. Known as the Mister LNT in the Philippine mountaineering community, Lito has the authority to conduct Leave No Trace Awareness Workshops and Leave No Trace Trainer Courses. A select number of volunteer partners make this advocacy possible. They join MisterLNT.ph in travelling to different locations in the country to conduct quick talks or full-length workshop on weekends. During the week, when not in the outdoors, Lito works in a BPO firm in Manila. An international Educational Partner of Leave No Trace Center for Outdoor Ethics, MisterLNT.ph is supported by Deuter, Lighthouse Marina Resort Subic. Majemah Travel and Tours, and Sobrepena-Virtudazo CPAs. |
