ITINERARY

Day 1, Saturday
0400 Assembly at Victory Liner Cubao
        (EDSA southbound between Aurora and New York)
0430 (first trip for Alaminos-bound bus) ETD to Camiling, Tarlac
0830 ETA Camiling palengke near Petron
        Hire jeep/tricycle to Canding crossing, San Clemente, Tarlac
        Breakfast while in transit
0930am ETA Canding crossing, meet guide Kuya Oden
1200 ETA Dueg resettlement(jump off)
        Register and courtesy call with chieftain Manong Jody, lunch
1300 Start trek
1700 ETA Mt. Damas summit
1900 Dinner/socials

Day 2, Sunday
0530 Wake-up call, breakfast, break camp
0730 Start trek to Ubod Falls
1030 ETA Ubod Falls, lunch
1200 Resume trek to Papaac, Camiling
1500 ETA Papaac, tidy up
        Hire jeep/tricycle to Siesta bus station, Tarlac
1700 ETA Siesta bus station
        Post-climb dinner at SM Tarlac (walking distance from Siesta bus station)
2100 ETA Manila

THINGS TO BRING

1. Personal
a. Full pack with water-proofing
b. 5 liters water + trail
c. Packed meals in reusable containers
     Day 1 breakfast (can have breakfast at Jollibee Camiling near Petron/palengke)
     Day 1 lunch (can take out lunch at Jollibee Camiling near Petron/palengke)
d. Headlamp with batteries + spare batteries
e. Umbrella/raincoat, wind-breaker/jacket, arm sleeves, hat, gloves
f. Trash bag (plain, generic without printed brand)
g. First aid kit and personal medicine
h. Other essential items per BMC

2. Group
Tent
Groundsheet
Temp shelter
String
Stove and fuel
Cook set
Trowel

PRE-CLIMB MEETING
Ideally at least three (3) days before departure

COST ESTIMATES (As of March 2012)


Bus fare (Cubao - Camiling) - 260 one way
Jeep/tricycle (Camiling to Canding crossing) - 150/head estimate
Jeep/tricycle (Papaac to Siesta bus station, Tarlac City) - 60/head estimate
Guide (1 only) - P300-400 (Not to give more. Tip, if deserving, should be any item except extra cash)
Registration - NA

SPECIAL CONSIDERATIONS

1. Most part of the trail going down is by river handrailing, making the trek dangerous due to risk of flash flood if it rains.

2. Final decision to proceed with the climb would largely depend on the weather forecast, and the on-site weather situation as reported by the guide.
