I. COURSE DESCRIPTION
The Leave No Trace Trainer Course (LNTTC) is the second level in the three-tier training structure of the Leave No Trace program.
The first and basic level is the Leave No Trace Awareness Workshop (LNTAW), which is designed for the general public to learn and understand Leave No Trace. It is conducted in as short as 30 minutes to as long as a whole day.
The top and third level is the Master Educator Course (ME), which is the most comprehensive, covering a period of five days in an outdoor setting. Individuals who complete the Master Educator Course are eligible to teach and develop Leave No Trace Trainers.
The two-day LNTTC is a condensed version of Master Educator Course. It is designed for outdoor educators, guides, and other outdoor professionals and anyone interested in learning more about minimum impact skills and ethics. Covered in this course are an in-depth discussion of the Leave No Trace seven principles, as well as techniques on how to teach and disseminate low impact skills.
Conducted in the outdoors, LNTTC features interactive learning methodologies, allowing participants to play an active role in the discussion. Those who complete this course are eligible to conduct LNTAW.
